We are a volunteer parent-led group which was set up by three mums in late 2014. We were united by the desire to develop our knowledge and understanding of ADHD and related conditions, to get support and understanding from other parents who 'get it', and to help others who are going through similar experiences.
Today (end of 2019) we have about 240 parents in the group and a thriving set of activities - all of which run on very little funding because of our close collaboration with partners and our volunteers.
Our chair, Geraldine Mynors, was also the Founding Chair of the new Scottish ADHD Coalition and we therefore have close links to the Coalition and other groups around Scotland, including the South Glasgow parent group and the Glasgow Adult ADHD Support Group.
Currently, we offer:
A monthly parent workshop at Heart of Scotstoun Community Centre with a youth club alongside for ADHD-ers aged 8 - 12 and their siblings
A monthly evening for parents/carers of teenagers and adults with ADHD (held in Jordanhill)
Guest speakers and information about other events and services which are of interest to parents
